England’s women have won the European football championship, bringing a significant international trophy home for the first time since the men’s team won the World Cup in 1966.
I am proud that the women footballers have not just won the championship; they as a whole have captured the public imagination. The country has needed a boost, and I for one, am so happy they have achieved so much.

My little shout-out. It’s Home
I hope NOW that Women’s football gets far more press coverage and air time. In what feels like dark times this is a true example of what can happen with talent and willpower.
